2022 Spring Shows

Overbrook Equestrian has already had a busy show season! Read below to see what we have been up to!

Season Set-Up @ Pacific Equine Sport

To start our 2022 show season, we had four horse-rider combinations travel to Ponoka for the Season Set-Up horse show! It was a great first showing for the team, full of personal bests and awesome accomplishments! Natasha and William had great showings in the 0.70 jumpers, including two fourths and a fifth place! Great job to this dream team! Alyssa and her new mount Baker had a wonderful first show full of learning and great rounds, ending their week with a fifth place finish in their 0.90 classic! What a great start for this new pair! Karlee and Q also had a good week together, with some solid rounds in the meter jumpers (including a great save on Saturday, we think she should have won an award for the best stick of the show!). Alaina and Surprise also had a great week, stepping up into the 1.10 jumpers for the first time! They ended up bringing home two fourths and two sixth places! Congratulations to all our Overbrook riders on a great start to the 2022 show season!

Spring Welcome @ Amberlea Meadows

Our first outdoor show of the season was the Spring Welcome Horse Show at Amberlea Meadows, and although it was cold, we had an awesome week full of fun moments! Maddie and Electra had some good rounds in the 0.70 jumpers, a great showing for their second show together! Great job you two! Natasha and William also had an awesome week! They ended up bringing home a 3rd and a 6th place in their 0.80 jumper classes! Congratulations on a great showing! Lauren and Nemo also had a great week, bringing home numerous top six placings, including two firsts that earned them champion in the 0.90 junior/ammy jumpers! Huge congratulations to our wonderful group of riders who conquered this cold week full of challenging courses!

Blue Sky Classic @ Amberlea Meadows

Blue Sky Classic was yet another great show full of firsts for our Overbrook riders! Nemo and his young leaser Sofia had a great first outing together in the 2’0 hunters, placing in the top 3 in both their undersaddle classes, and earning a sixth place in a very competitive division! What a great start for our youngest team member! Alyssa and Baker also had a great first outdoor show together, topped off with a great round in her 0.90 jumper classic! There is a bright future ahead for these two! Alaina and Surprise also had a great weekend in the meter jumpers, earing a fourth place in a speed class and sitting just outside the ribbons in 9th in her derby out of a very competitive field! Our wonderful coach Tara had a great first showing with her new mount Prinzy! They brought home a win in the 1.10m open speed class, and a fourth in another speed class! We are thrilled to see our coach killing it in the ring again! Great job team Overbrook!

Edmonton Classic @ Amberlea Meadows

Back to Amberlea for another week of showing! We were lucky to have been able to show for two beautiful weeks at such a great facility! Karlee joined us on Saturday and had a good ride her undersaddle to place fourth! Good job Karlee and Q! Lauren O. and Fritz had numerous top placings all week in the 2’6 hunters and the 0.70/0.80 jumpers! Thank you both for joining us for such a fun week, we are lucky to have you as part of team Overbrook at the shows! Lauren G. and Nemo had another great week together, winning both their 0.90 division classes (earning them division champ), earing a second in their 1.0 jumper class, placing fifth in their 0.90 classic, and placing third in their first CET mini medal over a very tough track. A huge congratulations to all of our riders! We can’t wait for the remainder of the show season, and are wishing you all success, and that you bring home many ribbons, lessons, and fun memories!
